Over eighty guests enjoyed a free strawberry tea at Greyfriars recently. In a new venture aimed at bridging the generation gap, Ringwood & District Community Association invited Ringwood residents who use the Minibus and members of Ringwood & Fordingbridge Club for the Blind to an afternoon party. Fourteen students from Ringwood School Year 10 served sandwiches and homemade cakes provided by Greyfriars Special Events Committee, followed by strawberries and cream given by the Blind Club. The guests were then entertained by school leaver Matthew Ng, playing classical piano music, and Greyfriars Pre-School children singing.

I appreciate being brought into Ringwood by mini-bus. For many of us it’s the only time we get out of our houses.”
