We were appalled to discover on Monday 10th August that we have had all the lead stolen from the Hilary Christy Canopy in early hours of Sunday morning. This happened between 01:38 and 01:57 am and we have reported it to the police.
We have CCTV footage of the whole theft , including their faces. Both thieves were wearing hoodies, with hoods up and gloves.
If anyone has any information about this theft, saw anything, or hears anything at all please do let us know in the office (or contact the police) and we will pursue it (01425 470979).
As you can imagine, we were all so sad and angry too, to discover this mindless damage to our beautiful old house.
Greyfriars means so much to so many in the community and it is horrible to see this happen here…yet again.
